Q: Do you have plans I can choose from? Or is each lot a predetermined model?
A: We do have plans you can choose from or you can bring in your own plan. We are a true custom builder, so if all you come to us with is an idea in your head, we will work hand in hand with you to create your own plan. We never build the same house twice.
There are no predetermined plans or models for any lot.
Q: How much does it cost per square foot?
A: Cost per square foot depends solely on what you want in your finished product. This would include, for example, insulation variances, flooring, appliances, and ceiling height. It is impossible to quote a cost until the plan for your custom home are finalized, but a generic number for a BASIC plan with some nice features is around $100 per square foot.
Q: How long does it take to build?
A: From the time we can move dirt—which is after final plans have been submitted and permits are approved—it is about 120 days. Keep in mind that FINAL PLANS are the determining factor in pricing and attaining city approval to start building.
Q: How much deposit do you require?
A: A lot-reservation deposit of $5,000 is required.
Q: Does the price include the lot?
A: The price per square foot is typically the building cost. The lot is usually separate. You will get a final contract price before construction begins.
Q: How often will we receive updates on the progress of our home?
Q: We want more than just a house. We need a barn, workshop, cabana—and who knows what else we’ll think of: will you build those structures as well?
A: Yes!! We can build whatever you need and want on your property, including a pool.
Q: We can get discounts through my work on appliances, lumber, windows, and other items. Can we purchase through those sources or do we have to use the providers you choose?
A: If you have a better-priced source we are happy to look at using them.
